PART-TIME HUMAN RESOURCES / BOOKKEEPING SPECIALIST

 

VinoPRO is a growing Santa Rosa start-up company (currently with approx 60 employees), seeking a highly experienced Part-Time Human Resources / Bookkeeping Specialist (approximately 30 hours per week). Applicants should have recent experience in both areas. A good candidate for this position would be someone with previous recent HR experience who also has recent bookkeeping experience, but who would prefer to work part-time.

Responsibilites will include:

Assist SVP of Administration with various HR issues, projects, and interactions with employees
Assist Accounting Manager with A/P, A/R, payroll, month end reports, payroll reports, reconciliations, journal entries, etc. as needed
Producing various reports as needed, using QuickBooks, Excel, and other systems
Maintain accounting and HR files
Respond to correspondence and questions regarding employment, tax, wage, HR issues, etc.
Other duties as may be required

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years recent HR administration experience, including familiarity with HR laws and regulations as well as interacting/counseling employees regarding sensitive HR issues
Minimum of 2 years recent full-charge bookkeeping/accounting experience

Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar degree/education
Must understand and have recent experience with A/P, A/R, payroll and payroll taxes, GAAP rules, etc.

Must be proficient in QuickBooks and Excel

Must have recent experience interacting with / counseling employees regarding sensitive HR issues
Must have good basic math skills
Must have the ability to work accurately and independently
Must have excellent (English) oral and written communication skills, be able to communicate professionally via telephone, email, in writing and in person
Must have a natural tendency to be accurate and detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, and organized
Must have good customer service skills and the ability to work well with others including other employees and departments as well as clients
Must have a friendly, positive and upbeat attitude, including when dealing with multiple deadlines, priorities and duties.
Must have the ability and desire to learn new tasks, new procedures, new systems, new technology 
Must display maturity/sensitivity and the ability to be discrete and maintain objectivity and independence in working with information of a confidential nature (payroll info, contracts, HR files, etc.).
Must have a good sense of humor (including the ability to laugh at oneself!), and the ability to learn from mistakes, rather than repeat them
Previous experience working with various types of commission and bonus payments a plus.


25-30 hours/week, hours TBD
Pay range: Depending on experience
